The New Jersey Educators in Radiologic Imaging is a non-profit professional association of educators from radiologic imaging programs in New Jersey. Members are program directors, clinical coordinators, faculty, adjunct faculty, and clinical instructors. The association meets quarterly throughout the year to share educational outcomes and academic successes in an effort to improve the educational opportunities in New Jersey for radiologic imaging students and educators.
NJERI was founded to establish a lasting organization and membership, foster quality educational ideas and ideals, and to achieve set objectives of the organization.
As published in the Bylaws of NJERI, the objectives of this organization shall be to improve the quality of education and instruction in the profession of radiologic sciences and to disseminate information regarding the profession through:
1. Providing for the educational and professional development of the educator by sharing of our educational experience and/or knowledge of textbooks, equipment and curricula for the benefit of the student in radiologic sciences and the long range benefit of the radiologic technologist.
2. Making ourselves available as advisors and counselors to educational institutions wishing to either establish new programs or upgrade existing programs.
3. Recognition as professional radiologic sciences educators by the: a) New Jersey Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners b) Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology c) New Jersey Society of Radiologic Technology, Inc d) American Society of Radiologic Technologists e) Association of Educators in Radiologic Sciences

MONTHLY/YEARLY ACTIVITIES
All members of the NJERI are welcome to attend the five meetings held each year to discuss the business of the Organization and to assist in developing the programs throughout the year.
COMPETITION/NJSRT
NJERI members actively participate in the Annual Meeting of the New Jersey Society of Radiologic Technologists by working with the NJSRT to help provide speakers for the sessions and coordinate the Emma Wolfe Student Competition.
STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
Each year NJERI awards a radiography student scholarship. In 2021, our student scholarship was renamed the Robert P. Champa Student Scholarship as a fitting tribute to Roberts love of being an educator and his tireless work on behalf of radiologic technology.
CAREER ADVANCEMENT DAY
Each year the organization hosts a career advancement day. Students from all programs are invited. Speakers from advanced imaging programs will present information on their program. Speakers are available after presentations for additional information.
CLINICAL EDUCATOR WORKSHOP
The organization holds workshops for clinical instructors, new and seasoned. The attempt is made to hold one a year in the fall. Check back to see when the next one will be scheduled.

We, active directors and instructors of approved educational programs in radiologic sciences, in order to establish a lasting organization and membership, to foster quality educational ideas and ideals, and to achieve set objectives of the organization, do hereby establish and ordain these by-laws for the New Jersey Educators in Radiologic Imaging.
